David J. Barrett (Dave) is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley. He runs the Capital Introductions Group, in the Prime Brokerage Division of the Institutional Equity Division. He began working at the firm in 1986 as an Associate in the Fixed Income Division.
Dave was elected Vice President in 1990, at which time he was in the Government Relations Department in Firm Management. Four years later, he was elected Principal.
He received a BA in History and Political Science from Washington University (1981) and a JD at Hofstra Law School (1983). He resides in Long Island with his wife and their three children.
