Paul Ezekiel is the founding partner of Yallingup Capital Management, an asset manager focused on principal investment strategies in next generation energy infrastructure. The sectors within this new asset class include renewable energy, waste to energy, grid infrastructure, biofuels, energy efficiency and water.
Paul was previously a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, a member of the Global Energy Trading Executive Management Committee, and the Global Head of the Environmental commodity trading business. Paul also co-developed the firm’s global renewable energy strategy, which included the firm’s principal investing and investment banking strategies. As the largest energy investment bank globally with active principal activity, Paul developed several principal strategies for the firm in renewable energy, waste to energy and biofuels. While at Credit Suisse, Paul also pioneered several securitizations of exotic commodities including a $600M securitization of Certified Emission Reductions; the first transaction completed in this market.
Paul joined Credit Suisse in July 2006 from Antipodean Partners, a Hedge Fund in the environmental sector, which he co-founded in 2002 and where he served as President. While at Antipodean Partners, he was responsible for developing a number of innovative financing structures for carbon emissions producers utilizing carbon assets as collateral.
Paul has an MBA from Cornell University and is formerly an MD, with preliminary training in Neurosurgery.
