ABANA, in partnership with the Atlantic Council’s empowerME initiative, is convening a virtual event series to shed light on the changing FinTech landscape in the MENA region, identify challenges and opportunities, and explore policy recommendations.

This is the second event of the series, which will focus on digital payments. Speakers for this event include: Ashraf Sabry, CEO of Fawry; Nadine Mezher, Co-Founder of Sarwa; and Hosam Arab, Co-Founder and CEO of tabby. Ola El-Shawarby, Senior Investment Analyst at VanEck, will moderate the discussion and Amjad Ahmad, Director and Resident Senior Fellow at the empowerME initiative and Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East at the Atlantic Council, will give opening remarks.
